Transport Program
HealthOps combines dedicated transport teams with WeGotIt, our proprietary platform for requesting, scheduling, and tracking procedure, return, transfer, and discharge transportation across the hospital.
HealthOps manages non-emergency patient transport across the hospital—from unit-to-unit transfers and procedure appointments to return trips and discharge. Nurses and clinical staff use the WeGotIt Transport Module to request the right transport at the right time, including the equipment needed for a safe, organized transfer.
The result is a more reliable patient-flow process: clinical teams spend less time coordinating logistics, patients move more smoothly through the hospital, and leaders gain clear visibility into transport demand, completion times, and operational bottlenecks.
Patient transport, managed from request to destination.
Request, route, and track every transport
WeGotIt gives staff a simple web- or mobile-browser workflow for requesting patient transport. The configurable module supports the transport types hospitals manage every day:
Procedure transport: Send patients to procedural destinations, including the specific equipment needed for the trip.
Return transport: Route patients back to their originating unit after a procedure through dedicated return queues.
Unit-to-unit transfer: Move patients between units, rooms, or bed spaces with a documented request and assigned workflow.
Discharge transport: Request transport to configured discharge destinations, including locations such as valet areas or patient garages.
Scheduled or on-demand requests: Use preset 30-minute, one-hour, or two-hour scheduling options, or enter a custom requested time.
What the program delivers
Direct clinical requests through WeGotIt: Nurses can submit transport requests from a workstation or mobile browser, with local login or configurable single sign-on.
Equipment-specific coordination: Requesting staff can identify transport requirements, such as a wheelchair or stretcher, before the transport team arrives.
Patient-identification safeguards: WeGotIt captures a patient’s name and date of birth for the active transport request, with a recommended bracelet-scan workflow for procedure-related transports; that information is not retained after the active order to help protect PHI.
Safer, more consistent transport practice: HealthOps transport specialists follow structured pre-transport and in-transit practices that prioritize identification, equipment readiness, line and drain security, comfort, privacy, dignity, and communication with clinical staff.
Time-stamped accountability: The platform tracks the request, requester, transport staff, and completion timing from request through delivery—creating data hospitals can use to understand demand, identify delays, and improve operational efficiency.
A program built for the facility: HealthOps configures workflows, destinations, request types, and ongoing software support around each hospital’s operational needs.
From requests to measurable patient flow
Patient transport often becomes an invisible workload for nursing teams: calling, following up, locating equipment, and coordinating the next move in a patient’s care journey. HealthOps centralizes that work through dedicated transport staff and WeGotIt, turning each request into a visible, trackable workflow rather than an informal handoff.
For hospital leaders, the value is not simply that patients are moved. It is that the hospital can see when requests are placed, how transport volume moves across units and destinations, what equipment is required, and where response patterns indicate a need to adjust staffing or workflows.
